Formed For Mission
8/16/26-10/3/26

Overview
Jesus is enough for you and me.

The Church is not merely a gathered people - we are a sent people.

Yet mission is not pressure, performance or persuasion. Mission begins with presence.

God is already at work in our neighborhoods, workplaces, families and friendships.

He goes before us.  He draws hearts.  He is the One who saves.

To be Good News People is to live with a quiet confidence:  Jesus is enough for you and me.

The Spirit leads. We follow. Love moves first.

In Acts and Isaiah we see a gospel that crosses boundaries, disarms fear, mends division and calls the nations home. This theme trains us to join what God is already doing - not with anxiety, but with warm, ordinary, everyday faithfulness.

This is not a program. This is a posture.

We are not “doing evangelism.” We are becoming Good News People.

Missional Practices
Over these seven weeks, we will move slowly and gently into mission together:
      • We will pray for the people already placed in our lives.
      • We will practice hospitality through shared meals, conversation, and unhurried presence.
      • We will invite others into our rhythms - into church, into our homes, into relationships of care.
      • We will share our stories of God’s mercy simply and honestly - no pressure, no performance.
      • We will speak the gospel with grace, trusting the Spirit to move and open hearts.
      • We will serve the vulnerable, because mercy is mission and love takes shape in action.
      • We will pray for the nations, because the gospel is not small - it is wide, beautiful and global.

This is not a checklist.  This is daily love in motion.

Spiritual Movement
Sent → Speaking → Crossing → Enduring → Worshiping → Restoring → Rejoicing

Mission is not performance - it is love growing legs.

Core Truth
To be the Church is to be Good News People -  gentle in presence, courageous in love, confident in Christ’s sufficiency,
trusting that Jesus is enough
for you and me.

Reflection Prompt for the Whole Arc
At the close of Week 39, pause and look back:
      • Where did compassion rise unexpectedly?  Where did fear soften into gentleness?
      • Where did love lead you to move toward someone rather than away?

Write a prayer beginning with:
“Lord, make me a Good News Person - present, patient and full of love…”

Let this become your posture moving into a season of prayer.
