Morning light arrives quietly, without striving or demand. It simply appears — illuminating the world we already inhabit. So it is with God.

The first movement of worship is not something we do, but something we receive. The Psalms teach us that the day begins not with proving, but with presence — not with work, but with welcome.

To Be the Church — Steady in the Sunlight is to rise each day into God's love — to let identity come before activity, belovedness before responsibility, grace before work.

Morning is not merely the start of the day. It is the reminder that God is already here.

Practice of the Week — Kneeling Prayer (Morning)

Each morning, before anything else, kneel — even briefly.

Pray: Morning Prayer — "Spirit, I was made for Your presence. May this day be one I spend with You in all that I do. Amen."

Do not rush. Do not evaluate the prayer. Simply begin the day in belonging. Kneeling teaches the body what the heart forgets: We live by grace, not performance.

The Christian life begins and continues through the renewing work of the Holy Spirit. We are not merely forgiven — we are made new. Renewal is not something we generate by discipline, emotion, or effort. It is a work God Himself accomplishes in us, restoring our desires, reshaping our loves, and reorienting our lives toward Him. The Spirit does not force transformation; He forms it — gently, patiently, steadily — like sunlight drawing flowers to open.

To confess that we are renewed by the Spirit is to confess that the power of the Christian life is not our strength but God's presence. We wake each day not into a task of self-improvement, but into the gift of being made new.

Mission this week is as simple as attention. Choose one person you encounter regularly — a coworker, neighbor, teacher, family member. Your practice is: make eye contact; listen without hurrying; treat them with the patience and dignity God has given you. No pressure to "share" anything. Just presence. Love moves first. Words follow when they are needed.

Lord of Morning Light, You meet us before we strive or speak or move. Teach us to begin our days in Your presence, to walk in Your love, and to rest in Your faithfulness. Make us steady in Your sunlight. Amen.
